On May 11, 2021, the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS was accepted as a member by the steering committee of the Joint Programme on Fuel Cells and Hydrogen (JP FCH) of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA). JP FCH aims to suppor long-term research on fuel cells, electrolysers and hydrogen handling in Europe and cooperation between academic and research organizations. JP FCH members participate in research in the field and create technological preconditions that will make it possible to change the global energy concept in the future and shift it towards hydrogen technologies. The Institute will participate in the activities of the working group for catalytic layers and electrodes, by research into aerosol synthesis of nanoparticles and their deposition in catalytic layers of hydrogen fuel cells. The research is done in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electrophysics.
