Dr. Meenakshi Garapati from the Laboratory of Hydrogen Technologies was one of 22 researchers selected from 141 applications to participate in the DAAD Green Hydrogen Research Tour organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The DAAD Green Hydrogen Research Tour invites advanced doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers from the European Research Area to meet with colleagues at renowned German institutions that are actively contributing to green hydrogen research, in order to gain first-hand information and insights into promising research results and technological developments.
During the research tour, the participants visited various research centers, universities, Max Planck Institutes (MPI), Helmholtz centers, and companies working on green hydrogen production, transport, and infrastructure.
Dr. Garapati is contributing to research into new nanomaterials used as electrocatalysts for hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers, materials for hydrogen storage and supercapacitor applications.
