Development of Non-Reflective Boundary Condition for Free-Surface Flows

J. Fürst, J. Musil

Abstract:
The article presents development of non-reflective boundary condition for free-surface flows and its implementation in the framework of volume of fluid (VOF) advection method for Navier-Stokes equations in the nite-volume CFD toolbox OpenFOAM. Derivation of the boundary condition is based on simplified 1D shallow water equations as presented in [1].
