On 6 September 2024, the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS was visited by the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek. He got acquainted with the scientific programme of our Institute and its recent achievements in the form of large scientific projects and knowledge transfer. Subsequently, accompanied by the Director of the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS Miroslav Chomát, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS Jiří Plešek and the Director of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the CAS Stanislav Pospíšil, he visited the Materials Characterization Laboratory of the Department of Ultrasonic Methods and the Laboratory of Hydrogen Technologies of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electrophysics. During the visit there was also a fruitful discussion on science policy in the Czech Republic.
