Ginny Overbay, a student from North Carolina State University, completed an internship in the summer of 2025 at the Laboratory of Nondestructive Testing, under the supervision of Ing. Jan Kober, Ph.D. Her research focused on the longitudinal resonance of metal rods—a technical topic that connects theory with practical laboratory measurements. This was her first time traveling abroad, and it was right here in the Czech Republic. In a video interview on the website of Centrum Radius, with which the Institute of Thermomechanics has been collaborating since 2022, Ginny positively evaluates her impressions of the Czech Republic and her work in the scientific environment at our institute.
