Zuzana Kluková from the Laboratory of Environmental Aerodynamics won second prize in the 2022 edition of the competition of PhD students “Make our planet great again” organized by the French Embassy in the Czech Republic with the support by BNP Paribas. The aim of the competition is to recognize the best research in environmental and climate research. Zuzana Kluková received an award CZK 40,000 for her work entitled “The role of the built-up area parameters on the traffic pollutant removal”. The work focuses on the dispersion of pollutants, such as car traffic fumes, in street canyons, depending on the shape of roofs or the height of buildings. The award includes a scholarship for a one-month internship at a research institution in France.
