On October 9, 2020, the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS was accepted into the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) Joint Program for Energy Storage. The program coordinated by the University of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany brings together leading European universities and research organizations involved in energy storage research.
The Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS has thus become only the third Czech representative in this organization after the Brno University of Technology and Tomas Bata University in Zlín.
